Way of working

The basic stuff you need to know

Hours

We are not going to have you sit behind a desk and follow strict instructions. You will not be forced into a cookie cutter way of working, because that's simply not the best way to let your intelligence and talent flourish. We, as a team, recruit gifted individuals and it would be a waste of both your time and ours if we didn't let your creativity flow free.

Work when inspiration strikes you. As long as you attend meetings which have been previously agreed upon and collaborate with your colleagues, it doesn't really matter to us when you work - or where. Just remember to report your hours by the end of every month, as your hours will reflect on your pay.

We believe in a good balance in everything, and it's also important to make space for other important things in life besides work. If you find yourself working long hours continuously, be open about it. We want people to stick around, so balance is key.

Office

Our dress code is "not smart but casual", so come as you are. We have snacks and other cool stuff at the office. If there is a specific snack or drink you like, we will order it for you. We tend to have lots of fun at the office and we like it to feel cosy.

Whether you choose to work from home or our actual office located in downtown Oulu is up to you. You know your happy place for work!

Work culture

If you have gotten this far in our handbook, you may already have some ideas on what our work culture is like, but here it is in a nutshell:

  • Open communication

  • Continuous feedback

  • Trial and error - failing is important for growth

  • We are in this together

Sick days

Everyone is ill sometimes. Let your colleagues know and we hope you will feel better soon! Remember to take advantage of our healthcare benefits.
